Upcoming Sale of William Gross’

The stamp community is anticipating with great interest the upcoming sale of William Gross’ BNA stamp in New York City on November 19th. Canadian Stamp News reports “The quality of the BNA material is something not seen since the collection of the late race-car driver Sir Gawaine Baillie was sold three years ago.”

at the rate of $1USD = $1.06 CDNMr. Gross plans to give the entire proceeds from the sale to the Smithsonian National Postal Museum.
Our viewers may recall that Mr. Gross put his collection of UK stamps up for sale in June, 2007. The proceeds of $9.1 million were donated to the well known international charity, Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières. Click here to see our special commentary.
